Madison, Wisconsin — September 29, 2004 — Extreme Engineering today announced the immediate availability of its XPedite1032, a 3u Conduction Cooled CompactPCI board hosting AMCC’s PowerPC 440GX processor with EmbVUE’s A-Stack Network Stack. These elements combine to make XPedite1032 an ideal military communications platform for systems which require mission critical, safety-critical or secure network communications certifiable under RTCA DO-178B / ED-12B.

EmbVUE’s A-Stack Network Stack is the first COTS Real-Time Ethernet stack which addresses fault tolerant TCP/IP & UDP/IP for environments which require a safety-critical - DO-178B (Level A) and/or secure network stack. A-Stack supports a subset implementation of the industry standard ARINC 664 Aircraft Data Network specification and internet services for Aircraft Systems. A-Stack is available directly from EmbVUE Inc.

XPedite1032 dissipates a miniscule 8.5W and operates up to 85şC without forced airflow in extended shock and vibration environs.  XPedite1032 supports dual Gigabit Ethernet and serial interfaces through J2, 128 - 256MB of SDRAM and 16 - 128MB of flash memory while delivering 1334 DMIPS of processing performance.
